Renowned men's lifestyle magazine Esquire names new Kia Optima "Most Gorgeous Car Under $20K"!
Everyone is aware of the mess that the economy is in, and that
decline has led to many companies having to resort to budget cuts and
lay-offs. Not so for Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia -KMMG, as they
have bucked the trend by just completing a major expansion at their West
Point factory, which has now created a total of 3000 jobs for the
state.
That new addition will mean that the annual capacity will now be
raised to a staggering 360,000 units, with the Sorento and the all new Kia Optima now being produced in Georgia. The first Optima's were rolled out last week!
Speaking of new Optima?Beauty may very well be in the eye of the
beholder, but it seems that everyone is smitten with the new mid-size
sedan from Kia. The 2012 Optima
was just voted "Most Gorgeous Car Under $20.000? by Esquire Magazine,
and is now in distinguished company with eight other vehicles, all of
which now have a chance to walk away with the a prize at "The 2011 Esquire Design and Technology Awards", after the editors raved about its luxury appearance at an affordable price.
"Esquire defines and shapes men's style and fashion
in today's contemporary culture, and this recognition further validates
the Optima's tremendous value proposition with its unmatched
combination of world-class design, advanced technology, and fun-to-drive
performance. The stunning design and value of the Optima has
significantly increased awareness, perception and consideration for the
Kia brand and with demand continuing to outpace supply we are looking
forward to the first U.S.-built Optima's arriving in showrooms in the
coming weeks," said Michael Sprague, vice president, marketing &
